About me
I am a theoretical physicist, broadly interested in complex dynamical systems. A simple yet captivating example is a double pendulum which belongs to a large family of complex systems that are found in physics, chemistry, biology, social sciences, and finance. The dynamical behavior of these systems have several fascinating aspects including deterministic chaos, collective synchronization, and pattern formation. To explore these complex dynamics, I employ a diverse set of analytical methods and computational tools . My current research interests lie at the intersection of dynamical systems and non-equilibrium physics. To learn more, see About complex systems.
My academic background
I am currently working as an Assistant Professor at SRM University, AP (India). Before that, I was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Here, I've been part of Prof. Jason R. Green's Research Group during Sep. 2020 - May 2024. I obtained my doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai (India) in March 2018. My thesis advisor was Prof. Neelima M. Gupte. Subsequently, I worked at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, Dresden (Germany) as a visiting scientist where I collaborated with Prof. Dr. Arnd Bäcker (TU Dresden). For a summary of my current and past research interests, see Research. My updated list of publications is found on Publications.
